About The Traveler’s Prescription

If you’ve ever stared at your calendar, your PTO balance, and your bank account and thought:

“I desperately need to get out of here.”

Welcome.

You’re in the right place.

The Traveler’s Prescription exists for people who want meaningful travel but also have jobs, responsibilities, budgets, limited time, and approximately two remaining brain cells by the end of the work week.

This is travel for real life. No “quit your job and backpack Europe” advice. No unrealistic luxury itineraries. No gatekeeping. Just practical, restorative travel recommendations for people who want to feel something again without needing unlimited money or unlimited PTO.

Here you’ll find travel prescriptions for burnout, curiosity, and to remember that life exists outside of work.

Meet your travel pharmacist

Hi, I’m Ashley. I’m a full-time psychiatric pharmacist practitioner, solo traveler, nature enthusiast, and the person behind The Traveler’s Prescription. When I’m not working, I’m usually roadtripping, chasing sunrises, photographing new spots, or figuring out how to travel more on the limited PTO that I do have, without sacrificing meaningful experiences. Over the years, I realized something: travel doesn’t have to be extravagant to be restorative.
